Devlog

You were hiking in the Whispering Woods, you ate the glowing mushrooms, and a mossy rock swallowed you whole. Now you're in a Wonderland where gnomes rule everything, and you fight your way out in first person with wands, fists and a flamingo. It opens in its own tab, full size. The models are about a 19 MB download, so the first load takes a moment.

  • Ten worlds. The Wonderland Lawn, a glowing Shroom Forest, the Sugar Dunes, a Crystal Hollow, the Hall of Clocks, an island in the Pool of Tears, the Pumpkin Hollow, a Frosted Rose Garden, the Queen's Furnace and the Cloud Castle. Chapter I has 10 gnomes, and every chapter adds 5 more, tougher ones.
  • Thirteen bosses. Every third chapter ends with one, among them the Rabbit King of Hearts, Grumbleroot the Giant Gnome and Morgwyn the Sky Witch, and the Jabberwock guards every tenth. Boss rush fights them back to back.
  • Six weapons and a fighting system. The Bone Wand, a croquet Flamingo Mallet, an Axe, a Longbow, a Chainsaw and a Super Bone Wand that overheats, plus punches, kicks, flying kicks, a Teacup Nova blast and named combos like Off With Their Heads!. Fallen gnomes drop Eat Me cakes and Drink Me bottles.
  • Career tells the story in cutscenes and adds missions, mushroom coins to spend on upgrades, and four difficulties up to Nightmare. Survival holds out in a grand old cinema against endless waves, with a boss every fifth wave and a stage, a balcony and chandeliers to smash.
  • Ten gnome types, from Grubb to Gristle, plus the bosses, their weapons and your hiker's arms, were modelled, rigged and animated by Python scripts in Blender. If they can't load, the game falls back to its hand-built versions.
  • Two players split the screen with two controllers. Phones get a stick and on-screen buttons.
