Devlog

A one-tap flyer in 3D: Cinder flaps when you tap, gravity does the rest, and the volcanic pillars keep coming. Everything in the world, from the dragon to the trees, is built from code at load time. It opens in its own tab, full size.

  • A curve that keeps squeezing. Each point raises the scroll speed (155 up to 270), narrows the gap between pillars (236 down to 165) and pulls them closer together. Some pillars drift up and down; basalt ones smoulder.
  • Flame orbs and the Flame Blast. Orbs float in the gaps. Every three charge one Flame Blast (F or the flame button) that smashes the next pillar for a bonus point.
  • Eight skies. The world changes every 30 points: Golden Valley, Amber Afternoon, Sunset Ridge, Thunderstorm, Ashfall, Night of Embers and Blood Moon, then Inferno from 200 on.
  • Medals at 10, 25, 50 and 100: Spark, Blaze, Inferno and Elder Wyrm. Three dragon colours to pick from, and the best score is saved locally.
  • Light on phones. Touch devices start with a lighter render budget, and if frames drop under about 45 fps the game lowers its resolution, then turns off shadows.
  • Gamepad too: A flaps, Start pauses.
